It can sometimes happen that a room block in Event Temple is synced with Mews, but the "Availability Block" in Mews is not showing any blocked rooms.
In this article we'll go through one of the causes of this and how to resolve it.
Example of the issue
Here we have a synced group block in Event Temple:
And here is the matching "Availability Block" in Mews:
We can see that the block in Mews oddly has 0 rooms blocked.
What is causing this
For this group block, this is happening because the the rates and blocks have been set on the "Double" occupancy level for this room type:
Event Temple does not support syncing blocks at the Double, Triple or Quadruple occupancy levels as this is not fully supported in Mews.
How to fix this
To fix this and get the blocks in Mews, we simply need to set the blocks on the "Single" occupancy level. This is the value that syncs over to Mews.
If the rate on the double occupancy level is the one you want to use, you will need to change that too.
