Formatting in Proposals vs. Documents

Learn which formatting options are available in Proposals. Content Elements support basic styling, but font changes require using Documents for full control over look, feel, and layout.

Updated this week

Proposals provides basic formatting tools within proposal content elements, but font customization is limited. For full control over fonts, colours, and layout, use Documents instead.

Formatting in Content Elements:

  • Bold, italics, underline

  • Bulleted and numbered lists

  • Paragraph alignment

What you can’t do in Content Elements:

  • Change font style (e.g., Verdana)

  • Advanced colour or layout adjustments

Recommended Approach:

  • Use Documents if you want to influence the look and feel, including fonts, text sizes, and spacing.

  • Keep proposals simple with basic formatting to maintain consistency and system compatibility.
