Can I batch update who workflows are assigned too?
How do I update who a workflow belongs too?
Answer:
When you Deactivate a User, it keeps them as the Assignee of the Booking, as such, any incomplete Workflows will not be re-assigned to a New User. To avoid any issues with Workflow automation it is recommended to update all Booking Assignee for active Bookings, before deactivating the User. You will need to update the individually in order to re-assign the Workflow at the same time.
Open the Booking Details page of a Booking that needs reassigning
Click on the name of the Booking Assignne in the top right
Choose the new Assignee and ensure the checkbox "reassign workflow tasks to this user" has been selected
Click submit
Repeat for the rest of the Bookings with Workflows you need to re-assign
Please note: Batch updating the Assigned User will not re-assign Workflow Tasks, as such you should update one at a time.
Another option would be to delete the User completely. However this would remove any record of them from the system and they could not be re-activated at a later date. When deleting a User, you will be asked to re-assign all of the Bookings to another User.
