Customizing & Filtering Your Accounts List

Learn how to customize and filter your Accounts list view in Event Temple. Step-by-step instructions for adding columns like Organization and Amount Paid, filtering by account criteria, and saving views for account reporting.

Customizing your Accounts table allows you to surface key account details—such as associated organizations, linked invoices, and payment tracking—without opening individual records. You can also filter lists and save custom views for quick access and reporting.

Adding and Rearranging Table Columns

Use the column selector tool to customize which data fields display in your Account list view:

  1. Navigate to Accounts from the left-side navigation menu.

  2. In the top-right corner of the table, click the Columns button (grid/table icon).

  3. Search for or check the boxes next to the fields you want to display (e.g., Organization, Primary Contact, Amount Paid, or Status).

  4. Rearrange Columns: Drag and drop column headers directly within the table to reorder them to your preference.

Filtering Accounts and Viewing Associated Data

Applying filters and column settings allows you to isolate specific account segments or view related data across different primary tables.

Displaying & Sorting Accounts by Organization

Organization details are managed via table display settings:

  1. Navigate to Accounts from the main menu.

  2. Click the Columns button in the top-right corner of the table.

  3. Check Organization to enable the column in your list view.

  4. Click the Organization column header to sort your account list alphabetically by organization.

  5. (Optional) Click Save View at the top of the table to preserve this view for future reference.

Viewing Contacts Linked to a Specific Account

To isolate and view contacts belonging to a specific account:

  1. Navigate to Contacts from the main menu.

  2. Click Add Filter at the top of the list view.

  3. Select Account from the dropdown menu.

  4. Type or select the specific account name.

  5. Click Apply to filter your contacts list down to records linked to that account.

Tracking Payments and Invoices from List Views

You can monitor financial metrics directly across your accounts and bookings:

  • Tracking Account Payments: Open Bookings, click Columns, and check Amount Paid to view payment totals across all bookings linked to your accounts.

  • Viewing Invoices by Account: Open Invoices, click Columns, and enable the Account column to see invoice distributions across your accounts.

Saving Custom Views & Account Reporting

Once you configure your preferred layout or filter combination:

  1. Click Save View at the top of the table.

  2. Select Save as New View, give it a name (e.g., "Accounts by Organization" or "Unpaid Account Invoices"), and choose whether to make it private or shared.

Exporting & Generating Reports

  • CSV Export: Click Export (or the menu) in the top-right corner to download a spreadsheet containing all displayed columns.

  • Account List Report: For system-wide reporting and analysis, go to Reports → Account List Report in the main navigation to run reports on account creation, revenue, and ownership trends.
