What Happens When I Delete a Package?

Deleting a package removes it from future use but does not affect existing bookings. Past bookings retain all package details. Archiving is recommended to preserve reporting and history.

Updated this week

Deleting a Package removes it from future use, but does not affect any existing bookings.

What happens when you delete a Package

  • The Package is removed from Settings β†’ Offerings β†’ Packages

  • It can no longer be added to new bookings or events

  • Existing bookings keep all original Package details (name, price, and items)

  • Historical data tied to those bookings remains unchanged

Reporting impact

  • Deleted Packages cannot be selected in reports

  • However, data from past bookings using the Package is still included in reporting

Recommended approach

If you want to stop using a Package but keep it available for reporting:

  • Use Archive instead of deleting

  • Archived Packages are hidden from new use but remain available historically

⚠️ Important notes:

  • Deleting a Package is permanent and cannot be undone

  • Packages cannot be deleted while actively in use or being edited

  • Archived Packages can be restored at any time

Summary

Deleting a Package prevents future use but does not impact existing bookings. Archiving is the safer option when historical visibility is needed.
