How Can I Report on Market Segment?

How can I report on Account Segments

Since Market Segment is an Account-based field, you can report on this using the Account List. Another report that may give you some helpful information is the Top Accounts Report. The Top Key Accounts Report also supports filtering by Market Segment and date range, providing a summary focused on key accounts. Additionally, the Booking List Report can be used to report on actualized bookings by Account Type or Market Segment. To do this, navigate to Reports → Booking List, apply filters such as Booking Status: Definite and a specific Booking Start Date range, and use the Group By feature to organize results by Account Type or Market Segment.

In Event Temple, the Market Segment value on reports is derived from the account linked to a booking. If a booking is not linked to an account, the Market Segment will not appear on the report. To resolve this:

  1. Link the Booking to an Account: Ensure that the booking is connected to an account with the desired Market Segment set.

  2. Create a Generic Account for Standalone Bookings: For standalone or social bookings that do not naturally link to an account, create a generic account (e.g., "Social") and assign the appropriate Market Segment to it. Then, attach these bookings to the generic account. This approach ensures that all bookings, even those without a natural account, are included in reports with the correct Market Segment information.
