Managing Room Types and Rates with Mews

Learn how to manage Room Types and Room Rates when using the Mews integration, including updating Room Types, removing unsynced Room Types, and manually syncing changes to Event Temple

If your Event Temple account is connected to Mews, Room Types and Rates are managed within Mews and then synced to Event Temple. This article explains how to update Room Types, remove unused Room Types, and manually sync Room Types and Rates.


Updating Room Types

Room Types that are synced with Mews cannot be edited directly in Event Temple. To make changes, first update the Room Type in Mews. Once the changes have been made, an Admin user can manually sync the updated Room Types.

To sync Room Types:

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Select Integrations.

  3. Click PMS.

  4. Scroll to the Sync section.

  5. Click Sync Room Types.


Removing Unsynced Room Types

If you have Room Types in Event Temple that are no longer connected to your PMS, you can safely remove them.

To remove unsynced Room Types:

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Select Organization.

  3. Click Room Types.

  4. Review the PMS column.

  5. Delete any Room Types that do not have a green checkmark, as these are not currently synced with your PMS.


Syncing Room Rates

When you add or update Room Rates in Mews, those changes are automatically synced to Event Temple on a regular schedule. If you need the updated rates to appear sooner, an Admin user can trigger a manual sync.

To sync Room Rates:

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Select Integrations.

  3. Click PMS.

  4. Click Sync Rates.


Additional Information

  • Room Types and Room Rates must be created and managed in Mews.

  • Changes made in Mews may take a short time to appear in Event Temple if you choose not to run a manual sync.

  • Only users with Admin permissions can manually trigger Room Type and Room Rate syncs.
