If a room block or profile already exists in Cloudbeds and you want to connect it to a booking in Event Temple, you can link them manually using the block or profile code. This article walks through how to find those codes in Cloudbeds and how to use them in Event Temple.
When to use this
The recommended workflow is to build your booking in Event Temple first — set up the account, contacts, and room block — and then sync to Cloudbeds. Event Temple will create the corresponding records in Cloudbeds automatically.
However, if a block or profile already exists in Cloudbeds and you need to connect it to an existing Event Temple booking, you can link them manually using the steps below.
Finding the block code in Cloudbeds
Room blocks in Cloudbeds have a booking code that you can use to search and link from Event Temple.
To find it:
Open the Groups & Events tab in Cloudbeds
Search and open the specific Group
Look for the booking code URL on the block record
Click on it to copy— this is what you'll enter in Event Temple
Linking a block or profile in Event Temple
Open the booking in Event Temple
Navigate to the room block you want to link
Enter the block code (not entire URL) from Cloudbeds to search for and connect the existing block
To link a profile to an account, use the profile code from Cloudbeds
Note: Linking a profile to an account is done outside of the booking flow. For most situations, the simplest approach is still to sync the booking from Event Temple and let the integration create the matching records in Cloudbeds automatically.
Finding the profile code in Cloudbeds
If you need to link a Cloudbeds Profile to an Account in Event Temple, you can do that using the profile code.
A couple of things to note:
Profiles created in the new Groups & Events module use a code starting with C
Groups from the old module use a code starting with G
Both formats are supported — you can enter either one in Event Temple
