Smart Proposal Templates let you standardize the look, feel, and content of the proposals you send to clients. You can create templates for different languages, market segments, properties, or event types, ensuring consistent branding and accuracy.
Where Proposal Templates Are Located
Navigate to:
Settings → Templates & Files → Proposal Templates
You’ll see two tabs:
Organization Proposal Templates – templates created and managed by your property.
Event Temple Standard Proposal Templates – pre-built templates provided by Event Temple.
All user-created templates appear under the Organization tab.
Creating a New Proposal Template
Navigate to Settings → Templates & Files → Proposal Templates
Ensure you are in the Organization Proposal Templates tab.
Click New Template.
Complete the template setup fields:
Title – Give your template a descriptive name (e.g., “Corporate Proposal 2026” or “Wedding Proposal – Summer”).
Language – Select the language of the proposal. This categorizes templates and determines merge fields or default text.
Banner Image – Upload an image to display at the top of your proposal.
Recommended: high-resolution, landscape images
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG
Upload via Browse or drag-and-drop
Click Save.
The template will open in the Proposal Editor, where you can add elements such as text blocks, images, tables, menus, room blocks, and merge fields.
Tip: Clear, descriptive titles make it easier to organize and find templates later.
Copy From Event Temple Templates
Instead of starting from scratch, you can copy a professionally designed template:
Go to Settings → Templates & Files → Proposal Templates
Select the Event Temple Standard Proposal Templates tab
Browse and Preview available templates
Select Copy (or Use Template, depending on your UI)
The copied template appears under Organization Proposal Templates, where you can fully customize it.
Tip: This is the fastest way to build proposals with structured layouts, placeholder content, and pre-formatted design elements.
Editing Your New Proposal Template
After saving:
Open the template in the Proposal Editor
Add or modify content using elements such as:
Content
Events
Room Block
Charge Summary / Event
Managing Existing Templates
From the Proposal Templates list, you can:
Open a template to edit
Duplicate a template to create variations
Delete templates you no longer need
Tip: Regularly review your templates to keep your library organized and up to date.
Best Practices
Use clear naming conventions (e.g., “Wedding – English”, “Corporate – DE”)
Include branding in the banner image for consistency
Review templates quarterly to ensure pricing, branding, and images remain current
Consider copying standard templates as a starting point to save time
