How to Create a New Proposal Template (AI Sales Suite)

Updated today

Proposal Templates allow you to standardize the look, feel, and content of the proposals you send to clients. You can create templates for different languages, market segments, properties, or event types, ensuring consistent branding and accuracy.

This guide outlines how to create a new Proposal Template in Event Temple.

Where Proposal Templates Are Located

You can access your templates by navigating to:

Settings → Proposal Templates

There are two tabs:

  • Organization Proposal Templates — templates created and managed by your property.

  • Event Temple Standard Proposal Templates — pre-built templates provided by Event Temple.

All user-created templates appear under the Organization tab.

Creating a New Proposal Template

  1. Navigate to
    Settings → Proposal Templates

  2. Ensure you are in the Organization Proposal Templates tab.

  3. Select New Template.

  4. Complete the template setup fields:

Title

Enter the name of your template (e.g., “Corporate Proposal 2026”, “Wedding Proposal – Summer”).

Language

Select the language the proposal will be written in.
This helps categorize templates and determine which merge fields or default text are used.

Banner Image

Upload an image to display at the top of your proposal.

  • Recommended: landscape images with high resolution

  • Accepted formats: standard image file types (JPG, PNG)
    Upload using Browse or drag-and-drop.

  1. Select Save.

Your template will now open in the Proposal Editor where you can begin adding elements such as text blocks, images, tables, menus, room blocks, and merge fields.

Copy From Event Temple Templates

Instead of starting from scratch, you can use one of the professionally designed templates provided by Event Temple:

  1. Navigate to
    Settings → Proposal Templates

  2. Select the tab: Event Temple Standard Proposal Templates.

  3. Browse the list of available samples.

  4. Review a template by selecting Preview.

  5. If you’d like to use it, select Copy (or Use Template, depending on your UI).

  6. The copied version will appear under Organization Proposal Templates, where you can fully customize it.

This is the fastest way to build proposals with structured layouts, placeholder content, and pre-formatted design elements.

Editing Your New Proposal Template

After saving:

  1. You will be taken to the template editor.

  2. Add or modify content using Elements such as:

    • Content

    • Events

    • Room Block

    • Charge Summary Event

Managing Existing Templates

From the Proposal Templates list, you can:

  • Open a template to edit

  • Duplicate a template to create variations

  • Delete templates you no longer need

This ensures your property keeps a clean and organized library of proposal formats.

Best Practices

  • Use clear naming conventions (e.g., “Wedding – English”, “Corporate – DE”).

  • Include your branding in the banner image for consistency.

  • Review your templates quarterly to ensure pricing, branding, and images remain current.
