Is There a Space Closure Report in Event Temple?

Event Temple doesn’t have a dedicated Space Closure Report, but you can view closures on the Event Diary or in Settings → Organization → Spaces → Closures Tab, where you can filter, export, and unhide past closures.

Space closures can be viewed and managed in Event Temple, but there isn’t a dedicated reporting feature specifically for space closures.

Managing Space Closures in Event Temple

Space Closures in Event Temple allow your team to mark meeting rooms or event spaces as unavailable for booking — whether for maintenance, deep cleaning, holidays, or private use. This helps ensure your event calendar stays accurate and prevents accidental bookings in unavailable spaces.

🧰 When to Use a Space Closure

Use space closures for situations like:

  • Maintenance or Repairs (e.g., AV upgrades, painting)

  • Cleaning or setup resets after large events

  • Public Holidays when the property or certain areas are closed

  • Private Use or internal functions

🪜 How to Add a Space Closure

  1. Go to Event Diary

    • Navigate to Calendars → Event Diary from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click “New Space Closure”

    • This opens a pop-up form for creating the closure.

  3. Fill in the Details:

    • Space – Choose the space you want to close (e.g., Glacier Hall AB, Summit Suite).

    • Start Date / End Date – Select the date and time range for the closure.

    • All Day – Check this box if the closure applies for the full day(s).

    • Reason – Select a reason from your pre-set list (such as Maintenance, Cleaning, or Holiday).

    • Note – Optionally, add a short description for internal reference (e.g., “AV system replacement”).

  4. Click “Create”

    • The closure will appear directly in your Event Diary, blocking the selected space during the chosen timeframe.

👀 How to View Space Closures

  • In the Event Diary, closures appear alongside events in the calendar grid.

  • You can toggle visibility using “Show Excluded Spaces” if you’ve filtered your view.

  • To see all closures or manage reasons, go to Settings → Fields → Space Closure Reasons.

💡 Tips

  • Use specific closure reasons to keep reports and calendars clean.

  • If a space closure overlaps an existing event, you’ll see a conflict warning—you’ll need to resolve this before saving.

  • To make closures easier to identify, use consistent naming (e.g., Maintenance – Glacier Hall A).
