If you are attempting to use an email template & the subject loads, but not the body it is likely due to some broken code in the email template. A common mistake is a simple typo when using merge fields.
In the example below There is an additional { at the start of the Event Start Date merge field. It should read {{event.startDate}}. Removing the additional { will fix the template.
