Deleting Menus, Menu Items, and Sub-Menus

Learn how to delete Menus, Menu Items, and Sub-Menus in Event Temple, including rules for existing Bookings, reporting, and steps to remove items before deleting Menus or Sub-Menus.

Deleting Menu Items:

  • Removing a Menu Item in Settings does not delete it from existing Bookings. It can’t be added to new Bookings.

  • Deleted Menu Items still appear in reports for past Bookings or Events.

⚠️ Deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.

Deleting a Menu:

  • Menus cannot be deleted if they contain any Menu Items (including archived items).

  • The Menu page shows how many items it contains.

  • All Menu Items must be deleted first before the Menu can be removed.

Deleting a Sub-Menu:

  • Go to Settings → Organization → Menus, click the number under the Sub-Menus column for the Menu.

  • Click the Trash icon next to the Sub-Menu you want to remove, then confirm Delete.

  • Sub-Menus cannot be deleted if they are currently used by Menu Items—you must remove them from items first.
