How Do I Edit a Workflow Template?

Workflow Templates in Event Temple allow you to automate tasks and emails tied to your booking process. You can edit an existing template to update task timing, email content, or workflow steps as your process evolves.

To Edit a Workflow Template

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Workflow Templates.

  2. Locate the Workflow Template you want to edit from the list.

  3. Click on the Workflow Name to open it.

  4. In the Basics section, click Edit to rename the workflow or update its details.

  5. In the Workflow Actions section, review the list of automated steps.

  6. To modify an existing step:

    • Click on the Edit (pencil) icon beside the action.

    • Adjust details such as:

      • Action Type (e.g., Create Task, Send Email)

      • Task Name or Email Template

      • Timing Trigger (e.g., before/after workflow start, before booking start date, etc.)

      • Due dates or reminder timing

    • Click Apply to save your changes.

  7. To remove a step, click the Delete (trash) icon beside it.

  8. To add a new step, click New Action and configure it as needed.

Notes

  • Any edits you make to a workflow template will apply to future bookings using that workflow.

  • Existing bookings already assigned to that workflow will not automatically update unless the workflow is re-applied.
