How Do I Create a New Workflow for a Booking?

Learn how to create a Workflow in Event Temple to automate booking tasks and emails. Set triggers, add action steps, and streamline communication and task management using Workflow Templates.

Note: You must be an Account Administrator to set up workflows. If you don’t see these options, contact your admin.


Create a Workflow Template

  1. Click Settings in the left-hand navigation

  2. Select Organization

  3. Click New Workflow Template

  4. Enter a name for your workflow

Add Workflow Actions

  1. Click New Workflow Action Step

  2. Select the type of action (e.g. task or email)

  3. Choose when the action should be triggered

  4. Set the time for the action (default is 9:00 AM in your organization’s time zone)

  5. Name the action step

  6. Click Save

Repeat these steps to add additional actions as needed.


Additional Information

  • Workflows can include both Tasks and Emails

  • Multiple workflows can be applied to a single booking

  • Task steps create automated tasks based on your rules (type + due date)

  • Email steps send emails automatically at scheduled times

  • Completed actions are marked with a checkmark in the workflow

  • You can view workflows per booking in the Workflows tab

  • Tasks also appear in the Tasks List and Calendar view

  • There is currently no global workflow overview screen
