Packages allow you to pre-build Events & Menu Items together, for use on Bookings.

Packages allow you to pre-build a combination of Events and Menu Items, that can then be used on a Booking.

Events within Packages can be built with a Space specified. The Space can also be modified on the Event when the Package has been added on the Booking, along with any other Event details. When a space is selected, a conflict check is done & a notification will appear if there is a conflict.


Add a Package to a Booking

  1. On the Booking Summary Page Select the Packages sub-tab

  2. Select + Add Package Button

  3. Select the Package from the drop-down

  4. Modify the name & description if needed

  5. Modify the Expected & Guaranteed attendees

  6. Select which Event/s to apply to the Booking

  7. Optional

    1. Select the Event Type for each Event

    2. Select the Setup Style for each Event

    3. Select the Space for each Event

  8. Select the Start & End Dates for each Event

  9. Select the Menu Item/s to apply to the Booking

  10. Select Save

Additional Information:

  • Multiple Packages can be added to a Booking

  • When a Package is added to a Booking, associated Events can start on any chosen day

  • If there is a multi-day Booking, Events will be created for each day between the Start Date and End Date selected

  • Menu Items that have a quantity per person are based on the Guaranteed attendees' number

  • Packages that have a flat quantity can be adjusted as needed

  • Menu Items added to an Event within the Package will automatically be added if the Event is selected

  • Use this icon to batch select a Space, Start Date & End Date


View & Modify Package components

Once a Package has been added to a Booking, the associated Events & Menu Items can be modified on the fly as needed, these changes will not affect your pre-built Package.

Quantities for per person Menu Items in packages are based on the Guaranteed attendees. Expected & Guaranteed attendees for packages can be edited under the Packages sub-tab. All other details on Events & Menu Items can be edited as normal.


Packages on Documents

Within the Menu Item element, the following options are available that pertain to packages:

Events & Menu Items that are part of a Package are differentiated by the Package Icon:

Hide package item pricing

If using any price columns, the text 'incl.' will appear, to indicate that the items are included in the Package.

Show packages

Selecting this option will show packages with their daily per person breakdown above the menu items.

Hide packaged items

This option is only available if the 'Show Packages' option is selected. Selecting this option will hide any menu items that are part of a package.


Important Considerations about Packages

Once a Package has been added to the Booking, you are unable to mass-change the date of this Package. You can still head into a specific Event and click on the Date to change it.

If you delete a Package from a Booking, a pop-up will appear asking if you also want to delete the associated Menu Items & Events. These Menu Items & Events will become independent and can be modified as needed. If you click on the options to delete those too, all Event items with the Package Icon will be removed along with the associate Menu Items. Note: If you have cloned a package in the Booking, these cloned items will not delete.
