Adding a Travel Agent

How to add or link a Travel Agent in Event Temple, including handling conflicts when bookings already have a Travel Agent assigned.

A Travel Agent is a type of Account. This can be added from the Account Page or to an existing Booking.


Add a New Travel Agent From the Account Page

  1. Click on Accounts

  2. Click on + New Account

  3. Select Is Travel Agent

  4. Enter the Travel Agent Information

  5. Click Create

Add a New Travel Agent to a New Booking

  1. Click on Bookings

  2. Click on + New Booking

  3. Click Create New Account

  4. Select Is Travel Agent

  5. Enter the Travel Agent Information

  6. Click Create

Add an Existing Travel Agent to a Booking

  1. Navigate to the required Booking.

  2. Open the Additional Info panel on the left side.

  3. Click None/Unspecified to clear any existing selection.

  4. Select the existing Travel Agent from the list of associated Accounts.

  5. Click the blue checkmark to save your changes.


Handling Conflicts:

โš ๏ธ Important: If a Booking already has a Travel Agent assigned, trying to assign a new Travel Agent (or the parent account as a Travel Agent) will create a conflict, and the system will prevent the change.


โ€‹To resolve:

  1. Identify bookings with existing Travel Agent assignments.

  2. Remove or reassign the current Travel Agent(s).

  3. Retry adding or linking the desired Travel Agent.

This ensures the system allows the new assignment without errors.


Additional Information:

  • A Booking can have both a Travel Agent and an Account attached.

  • Travel Agents can be reported on separately to Accounts using the Filter "Travel Agent".

  • The "Travel Agent" filter is only available on the Account page to show Accounts marked as a Travel Agent.
