What Is an Account?
In simple terms, an Account is a company or corporation.
Accounts are typically associated with Bookings for corporate events, but they can also represent travel agents, vendors, or other organizations you regularly work with.
Each Account serves as a central profile for storing information such as contacts, bookings, tasks, and related documents.
An Account can exist as a standalone record or be organized in a parent/child structure — for example:
Parent: Event Temple
Child Accounts: Event Temple – Vancouver, Event Temple – London
This setup helps track companies with multiple locations while maintaining an overview of all related data.
Each Account can have multiple Contacts (individuals) linked to it, allowing you to manage all associated people easily. However, each Contact can belong to only one Account.

Account Sub-Tabs
Each Account has additional tabs to help manage associated details:
Bookings: Displays all bookings linked to the Account.
Contacts: Lists all Contacts tied to the Account.
Notes: Internal notes related to the Account.
Tasks: Shows all tasks connected to the Account.
Attachments: Stores files or documents related to the company.
Key Account Tracking: Used for managing Volume Rates and Room Pickups (if enabled).
Important Considerations
Only the Account name is mandatory when creating a new Account.
Before deleting an Account, all associated Contacts must be removed or unlinked.
Parent/Child Accounts make navigation easier — when viewing a parent Account, you can quickly access all child Accounts.
Financials for reports like the Top Account Report aggregate totals from both the parent and all its child Accounts.
Duplicate detection is in place: if you create an Account with an existing name, Event Temple will flag it as a potential duplicate and show the related name and contact.
Summary
The Accounts page acts as your central hub for managing company data within Event Temple. Whether tracking a client organization, a travel partner, or a vendor, Accounts provide a structured way to connect key information — including contacts, bookings, and revenue performance — in one place.
💡 Tip: Use parent/child structures and market segment data for clearer reporting and more accurate relationship tracking across your business network.
