Answer:

Document Templates have two levels

  1. "Organization" - Visible across the organization.

  2. "Chain" - Visible across all organizations in the chain.

There are various permission levels that control who can view and edit them. They are:

  • Regular users can create and clone a document template. But they can only edit and delete templates that they own. Ownership is based on whoever created or cloned a template.

  • Organization admins can create, edit, and delete document templates for their organization

  • Chain admins can create, edit, and delete chain-level document templates

  • Chain admins can change the organization of a document template or make it chain-level.

Additional information

If a chain admin, has read only permissions within specific Organizations, they will not be able to edit Organization based templates.
