Document Templates operate with two visibility levels:
Organization: Visible only within a single organization
Chain: Visible across all organizations within the chain
Permission Levels
There are several permission levels that determine who can view and edit document templates:
Regular Users:
Can create and clone templates
Can only edit or delete templates they own (ownership is based on who created or cloned the template)
Organization Admins:
Can create, edit, and delete document templates within their organization
Chain Admins:
Can create, edit, and delete chain-level document templates
Can change a template’s organization or promote it to chain-level
⚠️ Important: If a chain admin has read-only permissions in a specific organization, they will not be able to edit organization-level templates in that organization.
