How to Share a Document Template with Another Property in Your Chain

This guide walks you through cloning and sharing a document template from your chain-level account to a specific property

  • You must be a Chain Admin user.

  • The document template should exist at the chain level.


🧭 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Switch to Chain View
    In the top-right corner of your Event Temple dashboard, click the organization selector and choose your Chain from the dropdown menu.

  2. Access Document Templates
    Navigate to the left-hand menu and select Templates & Files > Document Templates.

  3. Clone the Desired Template

    • Locate the template you wish to share.

    • Click the Clone button next to it.

  4. Name the New Template
    In the pop-up window, enter a new title for the cloned template. This helps distinguish it from the original.

  5. Assign the Template to a Property

    • After cloning, scroll to the Permissions section at the top of the template editor.

    • Click on the Chain dropdown and select the specific Organization (property) you want to assign the template to.

    • Click Save to confirm the changes.

The cloned document template is now available exclusively to the selected property. Users at that property can access and utilize it without affecting the original chain-level template.
