Fix E-Signature issues in Event Temple—ensure signature blocks are correctly assigned, use the right browser, and guide clients to complete all required fields for smooth signing.

Updated yesterday

Learn why you or your clients may be unable to e-sign documents in Event Temple and how to fix common issues. Ensure signature blocks are properly assigned and use the correct browser for signing.

Common Reasons E-Signatures Fail

  1. Signature Type Misassigned

    • Signatures can be Client or Vendor only.

    • Each type can appear once per document.

    • To edit:

      1. Double-click or click Edit on the signature block

      2. Check the correct box (Client Signature or Vendor Signature)

      3. Click Apply

  2. Browser Issues

    • Vendor signatures require the user to be logged into Event Temple.

    • Signing may fail if the document is opened in a different browser than your ET login (e.g., document in Firefox but logged into ET in Chrome).

    • For clients signing in person, use a browser not logged into ET or Incognito mode.

  3. User Error / Missing Steps

    • Clients may miss entering required info (name, date, signature).

    • Ensure they follow all steps and that signature boxes are formatted correctly.

Tips

  • Only one Client and one Vendor signature per document.

  • Red signature fields usually indicate misassigned or missing signature type.

  • Check browser login status and use the correct browser for the signer.
