Preventing Space Double-Booking

By default, Event Temple warns you if a space is being double-booked, but users can dismiss this warning. Admins can enforce Strict Conflict Checks to prevent overlaps entirely.

Strict Conflict Checks (Admin Only)

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Under Organization, select General Settings.

  3. Scroll to Space and click Edit.

  4. Choose Allow or Prevent for conflicts.

  5. Optional: Include Lead Bookings in conflict checks using the checkbox.

  6. Click Save.

Events with Definite and Tentative status are always included in strict checks. Lead events are optional.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Prevent Setting Limitations: If strict prevention is on, batch/bulk cloning of events is disabled; events must be cloned individually. Learn about Cloning Events

  • Same Booking Exception: Conflict checks do not include events from the same booking. Example: setup 5–6:30 PM & reception 6–10 PM.

  • Space Closures: Always block events regardless of conflict settings.

  • Shared Spaces: Specific spaces can be marked as shared to allow multiple events simultaneously.
