If items or packages are missing or incorrect on your Document, it is typically due to how the Menu Item Source or Revenue Category settings are configured on your Document Element.
1. Troubleshooting Missing Packages
Packages will only display if the Menu Item document element is set to pull from Booking.
Note: If your Package includes both Events and Menu Items, you must add both the Menu Item element and the Events/Spaces element to your document to show all event details.
2. Troubleshooting Missing or Incorrect Menu Items
Issue A: Incorrect Menu Item Source
Menu items can exist at the Booking, Event, or Invoice level. Make sure your document element source matches where the menu items are assigned:
Booking: Pulls all Menu Items assigned to the overall Booking.
Events: Pulls Menu Items assigned to specific Events.
Invoice: Pulls Menu Items assigned to the linked Invoice.
(Tip: You can check where an item is assigned by navigating to the Menu Item Sub-tab within the Booking Summary).
Issue B: Revenue Category Filtering
Revenue Categories group items across document elements. If an item is missing, ensure the document element isn't filtering it out. For example, if the element is configured to show only Food, any item categorized under Beverage will not appear.
How to Update Your Document Element Settings
Double-click the Menu Item Element on your document (or hover over it and click the pencil icon).
Set the Source: Under Menu Item Source, select Booking, Events, or Invoice.
Set the Category: Click the Revenue Category drop-down menu and select the appropriate category (or categories).
Click Apply.
Click Save on your document.
Pro Tip: To apply these changes permanently to all future documents, update your Document Template settings.
