What is a Key Account?
A Key Account is a client or company that contributes significantly to your business. Marking an Account as a Key Account allows you to track special volume rates and room pickup production, helping your sales and operations teams manage client relationships more effectively.
⚠️ The Is Key Account option is available if your organization uses Key Account tracking (Business Travel or LNR).
Key Features
Volume Rate Management: Track negotiated rates for individual Key Accounts over specific date ranges.
Room Pickup Tracking: Monitor how many rooms have been booked against each volume rate.
Reporting: Quickly identify top-performing clients and review their revenue contribution.
Managing Key Accounts
Accounts can be marked as a Key Account by checking the Is Key Account box in the Account edit view.
When an Account is a Key Account, a Key Account Tracking tab appears on the Account’s detail page.
Unchecking the Is Key Account box will hide the tab, but previously entered Volume Rates and Room Pickup data remain intact and will reappear when the checkbox is selected again.
Tip: Filtering Accounts by Key Account in the Account list view makes it easier to focus on your top clients.
