How can I track changes made to bookings in Event Temple?

Updated this week

Event Temple offers a comprehensive Change Log feature that allows users to track and review changes made to bookings. This guide explains how the Change Log works, what information it captures, and its limitations.

What is the Change Log?

The Change Log in Event Temple provides a detailed audit trail for bookings, helping users see the following information:

  • Who made the changes: The Change Log identifies the user who performed the update.

  • When the changes were made: Each log entry is timestamped, offering a clear timeline of updates.

  • What changes were made: The log details the specific content that was altered, created, or deleted, enabling transparency and easy traceability.

Are there any limitations to the Change Log?

While the Change Log provides extensive details about changes made within Event Temple, there is one important limitation to note:

  • Changes made through connected PMS (Property Management Systems): Any modifications performed directly within a connected PMS are not logged in Event Temple’s Change Log. Users should refer to the PMS's own logging or tracking system for such information.

How to Access the Change Log

The Change Log can be accessed directly within the booking details. Once inside a specific booking, navigate to the Change Log section to view all tracked updates.

Summary

The Change Log is a powerful feature in Event Temple, enabling users to monitor changes to bookings with detailed information. It improves accountability and transparency, making it easier to manage bookings effectively. However, be aware that changes made via connected PMS platforms are not tracked within the Change Log in Event Temple. If you have further questions about this feature or need help accessing it, please contact Event Temple Support for assistance.
