How Menu Items Are Ordered

Menu Items in Documents like Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Proposals, and Invoices are displayed based on their Menu Item Source and Display Options:

  • Source: Booking/Event

    • Sorting by serving time: Items are first sorted by drag-and-drop position, then serving date/time, then event start/end date.

    • Not sorting by serving time: Items are first sorted by drag-and-drop position, then event start/end date.

  • Source: Invoice

    • Sorting logic is similar, with drag-and-drop position as the primary factor.

  • Grouping by Event/Event Date: Controls whether items appear under their respective event/date.

⚠️ To change the order of items in documents, update them in the event itself—document-level reordering is not possible.


How to Reorder Menu Items in an Event

  1. Open the Booking.

  2. Go to the Line Items tab.

  3. Locate the section containing menu items (e.g., Breakfast, Lunch).

  4. Click and drag an item using the dotted handle (or hover and press the space bar).

  5. Move it to the desired position using your mouse or arrow keys.

  6. Press space bar or drop the item to confirm.

  7. Changes save automatically and reflect in all related documents.


💡Tips:

  • Reorder within the same event block; to move between blocks, delete and re-add in the correct segment.

  • Group similar items together (food, beverages, rentals) for clarity in BEOs and Proposals.
