Can I Lock an Invoice After It's Been Sent?

Connected Invoices in Event Temple automatically update whenever changes are made to the associated Booking. This ensures consistency between your Booking details and the Invoice, removing the need for manual updates.

Because of this live connection, Connected Invoices cannot be locked or finalized. Any adjustments made to the Booking such as menu items, pricing, or taxes—will automatically update the Connected Invoice.


Standard Invoices

For regular (non-connected) Invoices, you have the ability to Finalize them after sending to a client. Finalizing prevents any further edits, ensuring the document remains an accurate financial record.

To Finalize an Invoice:

  1. Open the Invoice.

  2. Make sure it has been shared or marked as sent using the Actions menu (top right).

  3. Click Finalize in the top-right corner.

Once finalized, the invoice is locked and can no longer be edited.

💡 Note: The Finalize option is only available for standard invoices, not Connected Invoices.
