How Do I Convert an Invoice or Connected Invoice?

Learn how to convert between a regular Invoice and a Connected Invoice in Event Temple, including how Menu Items are shared, removed, or re-added to a Booking or Event.

Event Temple allows you to switch between a Connected Invoice and a regular Invoice at any time. This flexibility helps you control whether Menu Items are synced with a Booking/Event or managed independently.


Convert a Regular Invoice to a Connected Invoice

A Connected Invoice links the Invoice to a Booking or Event and shares Menu Items between them.

Steps

  1. Open the Invoice.

  2. Click the Action button (three-dots).

  3. Select Convert to Connected Invoice.

  4. Review the warning message and click Convert to proceed.

What Happens

  • Menu Items are shared between the Booking/Event and the Invoice

  • Changes to Menu Items stay in sync across both records


Convert a Connected Invoice to a Regular Invoice

A regular Invoice is no longer linked to a Booking or Event, and Menu Items are managed only on the Invoice.

Steps

  1. Open the Connected Invoice.

  2. Click the Action button (three-dots).

  3. Select Convert to Invoice.

  4. Review the warning message and click Convert to proceed.

Important Notes

  • Menu Items will be removed from the Booking and any associated Events

  • The Invoice will remain intact, but it will no longer sync with the Booking/Event

  • You can convert the Invoice back to a Connected Invoice later

    • Menu Items will be added back to the Booking

    • They will not be re-associated with their original Events
