Recurring & Cloned Bookings

How to clone bookings in Event Temple to repeat events and manage recurring schedules manually.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Need to repeat a Booking? Whether it’s a one-off or happens regularly, here’s how to handle it in Event Temple.

Cloning a Booking (One-Off Repeat)

To repeat a booking on a different date, you can clone it and set a new start date.

How to Clone a Booking:

  1. Open the Booking you'd like to repeat.

  2. Click the Actions dropdown in the top right corner.

  3. Select Clone Booking.

  4. Choose which details to bring over (e.g., Events, Documents, Notes).

  5. Set the new start date.

  6. Click Clone.

Note: Cloned bookings are independent from the original. If needed, use a custom field to reference the original booking number.

📅 Recurring Bookings (Manual Setup)

While automatic recurring bookings are no longer supported in the new interface, you can still create recurring patterns by cloning the original booking multiple times and adjusting the start dates.

For example, if you host a Yoga Escape on the first Monday of every month:

  • Clone the original booking

  • Update the start date

  • Repeat as needed for future months

Any Events in the original booking will also be copied over. Menu items and group room blocks will not be included, so you’ll need to re-add those manually.

⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Cloned bookings follow the same event date pattern. If an Event starts two days after the original Booking Start Date, the cloned Event will do the same.

  • Events can be cloned individually within a booking as well, if needed.

  • You can view all bookings related to a Contact by visiting their Contact Profile.
