The Bookings Pipeline
The Bookings Pipeline

The Pipeline is the central overview screen for the sales process. This article will cover how to use it to your advantage

Updated over 3 months ago

One of the many things that sets Event Temple apart from other Hotel Sales CRMs and Event Management and Catering Systems is our philosophy on Pipeline Management.

The Pipeline in Event Temple is the central overview screen for the customer journey from start to finish. It shows all the steps in the sales process from the moment the customer becomes a “lead” to the moment they “book”. While The Pipeline might be a new concept for you at first, once you get used to it, we can guarantee that you will get addicted to using it. It’s a revolutionary way to prioritize your inquiries and Bookings, allowing you to easily view & manage them from one stage of the sales process to the next.

How to Use The Bookings Pipeline

Pipeline Stages

The columns in the Pipeline are called Pipeline Stages - each stage has a title, listed at the top of the column. The stages track the customer journey throughout the Booking process. You can easily "Drag and drop" Bookings into a different Stage as their Booking progresses.

Filter & Search The Pipeline

In your Pipeline the Search & Filter features allow you to control what you see. You can activate multiple filters simultaneously to get the specific information you need.
You can also sort The Pipeline by Creation Date or Event Date.

Actions from The Pipeline

Many actions can be performed from The Pipeline, be they Individual or Batch Actions.

  1. Individual Actions - Click on the arrow on a Booking to perform an action.

Individual Pipeline actions include the ability to change the status of a Booking, send an email, send a Document, add a note, add a task, and more.

Note: The arrow is color-coded depending on the state of the Tasks associated with the Booking.

  • A red arrow indicates an overdue Task

  • A green arrow indicates Tasks upcoming

  • A yellow arrow indicates Tasks due that day

  • A black arrow indicates no Tasks at all

2. Batch Actions - Click on the checkbox next to the relevant Bookings to perform a batch action, or the checkbox at the top of the column to select all Bookings within that Pipeline Stage.

Pipeline Actions include the ability to email multiple Bookings at once, delete more than one Booking, move multiple Bookings to a new Pipeline Stage and more.

Important Considerations

Depending on your subscription, it is possible to have multiple Pipelines. This can be used to track different Booking Types, as well as other parts of the Booking process, such as Post-booking.

Pipelines & Pipeline Stages can be modified by any User with an Admin User Role.
