Can I Add or Customize Booking Statuses?

Booking statuses can't be customized, but you can use custom Pipeline Stages or Lost Reasons to reflect your workflow.

Currently, Booking Statuses in Event Temple are hardcoded, meaning you cannot add or rename them.

However, there are a couple of flexible workarounds:


Workaround 1: Use Custom Pipeline Stages

Pipeline Stages can be tailored to fit any part of your workflow—like Postponed, TBD, or Awaiting Approval—without altering the booking status.

  • Go to Settings > Pipeline Stages to configure these.


Workaround 2: Use “Lost” with Custom Lost Reasons

If you need to indicate a status that doesn’t exist (like Postponed), you can:

  1. Change the Booking Status to Lost

  2. Set the Lost Reason to something specific, like Postponed

  3. When the guest rebooks, update the status back to Definite

💡 This setup allows you to reflect more specific scenarios without changing system defaults.
