Step 1: Navigate to Invoice Settings
Log in to your Event Temple account.
From the left-hand navigation menu, go to Settings → Invoice Settings.
You’ll see options for customizing layout, headings, and component labels.
Step 2: Find the “Customize Component Labels” Section
Scroll down to the Customize Component Labels area.
Here, you can modify the wording that appears in different sections of your invoices, including:
Header section: change titles such as Invoice, Invoice Number, Billed To, Date of Issue, etc.
Items section: rename columns like Description, Qty x Price, or Line Total.
Summary section: adjust terms like Subtotal, Taxes, Service Fees, and Total Due.
Footer section: edit areas such as Payment Terms or Notes.
Step 3: Enter Your Custom Headings
Click into any text field you’d like to change.
Type your new label — for example:
“Invoice Number” → “Billing Reference”
“Amount Due” → “Balance Outstanding”
“Billed To” → “Client Information”
Leave a field blank if you want to keep the default Event Temple wording.
Step 4: Save Your Changes
When you’ve finished customizing, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save (or Apply Changes).
Your new headings will automatically appear on all invoices generated after you save.
Step 5: Preview Your Invoice
To verify how your custom headings look:
Open any booking.
Go to the Invoices tab.
Generate or view a sample invoice — you’ll see your updated headings reflected immediately.
Tips for a Polished Look
Keep your labels short and clear.
Match your invoice terminology to your brand’s tone (e.g., “Guest Statement” or “Event Summary”).
If your property issues invoices in multiple languages, create separate document templates under Settings → Document Templates.
Result:
Your invoices now display consistent, branded headings that fit your business style — helping you deliver a more professional experience for every client.
