Why isn't Space Price showing on my Document?

Learn why the Space Price may not be appearing on your document and the most common reasons behind it.

If the Space Price field is displaying $0.00 or not appearing on your document, there are three common areas to check.

1. Verify Your Default Room Rental Revenue Category

The Default Room Rental Revenue Category determines which revenue category the Space Price field looks for when calculating the value displayed in your document.

This setting is not applied to all room rental line items. It is only used when a space does not have a menu item attached and a room rental charge is generated from the event.

If your space uses a menu item, the menu item's revenue category is used instead.

Check the Default Room Rental Revenue Category

  1. Navigate to:
    ​Settings → General Settings → Space

  2. Locate Default Room Rental Revenue Category.

  3. Ensure it is set to the revenue category you want Space Price to use (for example, Room Rental).

Note: Only users with Admin permissions can view or modify this setting.

2. Verify the Revenue Category on Your Space Menu Items

If your space has a menu item attached, the menu item's revenue category must match your organization's Default Room Rental Revenue Category.

For example:

  • ✅ Default Room Rental Revenue Category = Room Rental

  • ✅ Space menu item Revenue Category = Room Rental

  • ✔ Space Price displays correctly.

However:

  • Default Room Rental Revenue Category = Room Rental

  • Space menu item Revenue Category = Setup

  • ❌ Space Price displays $0.00

Even if both categories belong to the same Room Rental revenue group, the Event/Space element only looks for the organization's default category.

Update a Menu Item's Revenue Category

  1. Navigate to:
    ​Settings → Offerings → Menus

  2. Open the menu containing your room rental item.

  3. Select the appropriate menu item.

  4. Update the Revenue Category to match your organization's Default Room Rental Revenue Category.

  5. Click Save.

Note: Updating the revenue category only affects future bookings and reports.

3. Verify Your Document Setup

If the revenue categories are configured correctly and the Space Price still isn't appearing, check the following:

Ensure the Booking Is Linked to an Event

The booking must be associated with an Event before the system can calculate and display the Space Price.

Verify the Events/Spaces Element

Open your document template and confirm that the Space Price field is enabled within the Events/Spaces element.

If the field isn't selected, it won't appear on the generated document.

Ensure Space Price is Enabled

If the Space Price column is not appearing in the Events/Spaces element on your document, it may not be enabled in the element settings.

To display Space Pricing:

  1. Open your document template.

  2. Navigate to the Events/Spaces element.

  3. Click Edit to open the element settings.

  4. Enable the Space Price checkbox.

  5. Save your changes.

Once enabled, the Space Price column will appear in the Events/Spaces section of your documents and will populate based on the configured space pricing settings.
