Why is the "Today" Button on my Task Calendar Not Showing me my Tasks for the Day?

The use of the today button on the Task Calendar is to jump from wherever you are on the calendar to that date, on the current view you are looking at (eg week/month). Today's date will always be highlighted for easier visibility.
