When transferring Menu Items from Event Temple to Mews, items will appear based on your Mews configuration and the posting method used. This article explains how Menu Items display in Mews, how customer data appears, and how to post items as Packages.
How Menu Items Display in Mews
When Menu Items are transferred from Event Temple to Mews:
Unit amount (quantity) and unit price are sent from Event Temple.
In Mews, items will display under Count as 1, with the original quantity included in the description.
Custom item descriptions entered in Event Temple will transfer exactly as entered.
Tax mappings will follow the configuration set in Mews.
Displaying Menu Items as Packages in Mews
Menu Items from Event Temple can be posted to Mews as a Package when posting charges manually.
To have items display as a single line item on the final invoice in Mews, ensure the items are posted to a Mews service with the "Bill as Package" setting enabled.
Important Notes:
Menu Items cannot be posted as a Package when using automatic posting.
Package posting must be completed manually.

Customer Data Display in Mews
When searching for Mews customers from the Reservations tab, a loyalty program status icon (★) will appear when:
The guest is enrolled in the Mews loyalty program.
The guest profile is available through the Mews customer search.
Tip: Always select profiles marked with a star to ensure loyalty benefits and perks are applied correctly.
