Event Temple performs secure daily backups of customer data and maintains tested recovery procedures in the event of an emergency.
Our backup infrastructure includes:
Daily Secure Backups: Our database snapshots follow industry best practices and comply with international regulations.
AWS Storage: Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with most application data in a fully managed, redundant RDS network. Uploaded files and reports are in AWS S3.
Recovery and Retention: RDS backups and Clumio-replicated backups are automatically deleted at end of life, ensuring secure data lifecycle management.
Personal Backups: You can export almost all Event Temple data for personal storage. To learn more about backing up your data click here.
Compliance and Governance: We adhere to best practices for data handling, encryption, and rotation of backups. See our Legal Information for more details.
For more information about our security practices, please refer to our GDPR Compliance documentation here.
Exporting Your Own Data
While Event Temple maintains secure backups of your data, you are responsible for exporting any information you wish to retain for your own records.
Important: Event Temple does not perform data exports on behalf of clients. To maintain security and ensure you have full control of your information, all exports must be completed directly from your account while your subscription is active.
There is no single-click export for an entire organization. Instead, data can be exported from each module individually.
Exporting Data from Modules
You can export data from areas including:
Bookings
Events
Room Blocks
Invoices
Documents
Contacts
Accounts
Reports
To export:
Navigate to the module you want to export.
Click Export in the top-right corner.
Choose either CSV or Excel.
Your file will download automatically.
Note: CSV exports include only the columns currently visible in your report. The exported file retains the same column order and any sorting applied in the report.
If your export contains more than 1,000 records, narrow your search using filters and export in smaller batches.
Exporting Reports
To export a report:
Navigate to Reports.
Apply any desired filters.
Select Export As and choose CSV, Excel, or PDF (depending on the report-type).
This option is ideal for exporting transactional, financial, or revenue-based reporting.
Software Compatibility:
Apple Numbers: If data appears misaligned in cells, re-import the CSV file and ensure the delimiter is set to commas during the import process.
Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel: These platforms typically handle CSV imports without issues, maintaining proper alignment and formatting. Note: PDF exports are limited by fixed page sizes. If your report contains more columns than can fit on the page, some columns may not be displayed. To address this, reduce the number of visible columns in your report before exporting to PDF or export the report to CSV for a complete column output.
After Your Subscription Ends
Per our Terms of Use (Section 6.5), customer data is only available for export while your subscription is active. Once a subscription has expired or been terminated, Event Temple may permanently delete customer data.
We recommend exporting any information you wish to retain before your subscription ends.
Security Best Practices
Exported files may contain sensitive information. We recommend that you:
Store exported files securely.
Limit access to authorized users.
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your Event Temple account for an additional layer of security. Read more about that here.
