The Account Types page in Event Temple allows users to manage and categorize the types of organizations or clients their venue works with. These classifications help streamline reporting, segmentation, and communication within the CRM.

Purpose of the Account Types Page

This section provides a centralized location to define and maintain various business or client categories relevant to your organization’s operations. Account types can represent different industries, sectors, or client groups that frequently book events with your property.

By organizing accounts into clear types, teams can:

  • Filter and sort account records efficiently.

  • Generate targeted reports.

  • Customize communication or sales strategies by client type.


Page Layout Overview

1. Header and Navigation
The top navigation bar allows access to other key configuration areas, including:

  • General Settings

  • Users

  • Invoices

  • Taxes and Fees

  • Pipelines

  • Fields (like Custom Fields, Revenue Categories, and Booking Types)

  • Integrations (such as Stripe, Calendar, Zapier, and Webhooks)

2. Main Table – Account Types List
The table displays all existing account types for the organization. Each row represents a specific type and includes:

  • Value Name – The name of the account type (e.g., Oil and Gas, Banking and Financial Services, Technology and IT, Hospitality and Tourism, Charity).

  • Organizations – Indicates that the type applies to all organizations within the account.

  • Action Buttons – Options to Edit, Archive, or Delete an account type.

3. Control Options

  • New Account Type button – Adds a new category to the list.

  • Show Archived toggle – Displays account types that have been archived but not deleted.

  • Search Field – Quickly filters the list by keyword.


How to Add a New Account Type

  1. Click New Account Type at the top of the list.

  2. Enter the Value Name for the new type (e.g., Government, Event Planner, or Corporate).

  3. Save the entry to make it available for assignment in your account and event records.


Editing and Managing Account Types

  • Edit: Opens the account type for renaming or modification.

  • Archive: Removes the type from active use while retaining historical data.

  • Delete: Permanently removes the type from the system (if no active dependencies exist).


Examples of Account Types in Use

Event Temple users often categorize accounts such as:

  • Corporate sectors: Oil and Gas, Finance, Technology, Manufacturing

  • Public sectors: Education, Nonprofits, Religious Organizations

  • Event-based clients: Wedding Planners, Associations, Social Groups

This ensures consistent data and accurate filtering across all venue operations.
