How Email Integration Works in Event Temple.

Event Temple connects to your email account using a third-party provider called Nylas, which securely integrates with most major email servers. This allows you to send and receive emails directly from within the platform.

What You Need to Know

While we aim to make the email experience as seamless as possible, it’s important to understand that the integration is not instantaneous. Here’s why:

  • Nylas acts as a bridge between Event Temple and your email server.

  • The speed at which incoming emails appear in Event Temple depends on how responsive your email server is and how quickly Nylas can sync those emails.

  • In most cases, emails will show up within a couple of minutes, but delays can occur if the external server is busy or experiencing latency.

  • API Rate Limits: Providers like Gmail and Microsoft place strict limits on how frequently third-party applications can request new emails. These restrictions are controlled entirely by your email provider, not Event Temple or Nylas.

What We’ve Done to Improve Speed

We’ve removed any limits on how quickly emails are synced into Event Temple. This means:

  • As soon as Nylas receives an email from your server, it will push it to Event Temple right away.

  • There’s no artificial delay on our end — you’ll see emails as soon as we receive them.

Introducing the Refresh Button

To help you get emails faster when you're expecting something important, we’ve added a refresh button in the Emails tab of a booking or contact. Clicking it will prompt a sync request, asking Nylas to check for any new emails that may not have come through yet.

🔄 Keep in mind: The refresh button is helpful, but it doesn’t guarantee immediate delivery. It simply asks for an update — the timing still depends on Nylas and your email provider.
