Are Document and Invoice Signatures Legally Binding?

Signatures are locked, tracked by IP, and emailed to both parties. Legal validity depends on your local laws.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Whether or not a digital signature is legally binding depends on your jurisdiction. That said, Event Temple includes several measures to help support legal enforceability:

βœ… What We Do:

  • Lock the Document/Invoice after both parties have signed, preventing further edits

  • Track the signer's IP address, which can be retrieved upon request in legal matters

  • Save a PDF snapshot of the signed version at the time of signature

  • Email a copy of the signed Document/Invoice to both parties for records

🚫 What We Don’t Currently Offer:

  • A detailed audit log of changes made to the document before signature

This may be included in a future Activity Tracking feature currently under consideration.

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you're operating in a region with specific legal requirements around digital contracts, consult local legal guidance to ensure compliance.
