How Do I Adjust the Space Around My Document Element?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To adjust the amount of space on the top, bottom and sides of your Document Element you need to change the amount of Padding for that Element. Adjusting the space around and Element will also change the size of that Element. Padding is measured in pixels(px).

  1. Open the Document

    • Go to your Booking and open the Documents tab.

    • Select the document you want to edit.

    • If it’s marked as Completed, click Edit and confirm to revert it to Draft.

  2. Select the Text Box or Element

    • Click on the text box or section where you’d like to add spacing.

    • The Edit Text window will open on the right-hand side of your screen.

  3. Adjust the Padding Values

    • In the Edit Text window, you’ll see four padding options:

      • Top Padding

      • Bottom Padding

      • Left Padding

      • Right Padding

    • Enter a number (in pixels) for each side you want to adjust.

      • Example: Setting Top Padding to 10px adds space above your text.

  4. Preview and Apply

    • Click Apply to confirm your changes.

    • Use Preview to review how your document will appear to your client.

Tips

  • Use small increments (5–15px) for subtle adjustments.

  • Enable “Avoid natural page breaks inside this element” if you want to keep the entire section together when printing or exporting.

  • Consistent padding across all text boxes creates a cleaner, more professional layout.
