Can I Turn a Document into a Template?

If you’ve created a document that you want to reuse across multiple bookings, you can save it as a Template in Event Temple. Template: Merge, Convert, Save as Template

Steps

  1. Open the Document

    • Go to your Booking.

    • Click the Documents tab.

    • Open the document you’d like to reuse (for example, Group Resume or Banquet Event Order).

  2. Click the “Actions” Button

    • In the top-right corner of the document, click the Actions dropdown menu.

  3. Select “Save as Template”

    • Choose Save as Template from the list.

    • A popup will appear asking you to confirm the template name.

  4. Name Your Template

    • Enter a clear name (for example: Group Resume Template or Corporate BEO).

    • Click Save to confirm.

  5. Use Your Template in Future Bookings

    • When creating a new document, click New Document in any booking.

    • Select your saved template from the list to apply the same layout and settings.


Notes

  • All layout, styling, and merge fields will carry over to the new template.

  • Templates are shared across your organization—other users can use them too.

  • Changes made to a document after saving it as a template will not update the template automatically (you’d need to re-save it if needed).
