Merge Bookings

Learn what happens & how to merge/combine Bookings together.

Updated over a week ago

Merging Bookings is a NON-REVERSIBLE PROCESS. Please be absolutely sure that you want to complete this action before proceeding.

That being said, merging Bookings is a simple process, but it is important to understand the implications of your actions, as there is the potential of losing unforeseen data if you are not careful.

Article Terminology

For our purposes, we will refer to 2 different Bookings in this article:

  1. "THE BOOKING" --> This is the Booking you plan to keep

  2. "THE MERGED BOOKING" --> This is the Booking that is being merged into the other (and will eventually be deleted)

How your various data points will behave

If the following data-points are not present in THE BOOKING, they will be overwritten by the corresponding data points from THE MERGED BOOKING:

  • Organization

  • Contact

  • Pipeline stage

  • Deal value

  • Inquiry date

  • Lost date

  • Definite date

  • Archived at

  • Referral source

  • Start time

  • End time

Conversely, if the above data-points are present in THE BOOKING, the corresponding data in THE MERGED BOOKING will be permanently deleted.

The following data points will be transferred from THE MERGED BOOKING to THE BOOKING in addition to any information that is already present:

  • Notes

  • Tasks

  • Incoming and sent emails

  • Text messages (Legacy feature, not available on new accounts)

  • Resource attachments

  • Automations (Legacy feature, not available on new accounts)

  • Invoices

  • Documents

  • Events
