Can I Add or Customize Booking Statuses?

Booking statuses can't be customized, but you can use custom Pipeline Stages or Lost Reasons to reflect your workflow.

No — you cannot add or customize booking statuses in Event Temple.

The system has four fixed booking statuses:

  1. Lead

  2. Tentative

  3. Definite

  4. Lost

These statuses are built into Event Temple’s workflow and reporting logic, so they cannot be edited, renamed, or expanded.

However, you can expand or refine your workflow using the following two options:

  1. Add Custom Pipeline Stages

    • Go to Settings → Pipelines.

    • Edit or create a pipeline.

    • Add new stages (e.g., “Proposal Sent”, “Contract Signed”, “Deposit Received”).

    • This allows you to track bookings in more detail within the existing status framework.

  2. Add Custom Lost Reasons

    • Go to Settings → Lost Reasons.

    • Click “New Lost Reason” to create specific reasons (e.g., “Budget Too High”, “Chose Another Venue”).

    • This helps you capture why a booking was marked as Lost for better reporting and insight.

Summary:
You cannot add new booking statuses, but you can use Pipeline Stages for workflow customization and Lost Reasons for better data tracking.
