What Are Add-Ons?
Add-ons are optional items or services that clients can choose to include in their booking when reviewing a Smart Proposal.
Examples include:
Food & beverage options
Late checkout or early arrival
Parking, amenities, or other upsells
Audio-visual Items
Clients can select (or deselect) these options themselves before approving the proposal.
How Add-Ons Work in Smart Proposals
Add-ons are configured within the Proposal Templates under Settings
Each add-on has:
A clear name and description
Pricing
Picture of the item (please note that the picture has to be added to the menu item in Offerings)
Once sent, the proposal remains interactive for the client.
Or they can be added while editing the Proposal within the booking:
For Clients (Proposal Recipients)
Clients can view all available add-ons directly in the proposal.
They can:
Select optional items
Instantly see updated totals (if Line Item Total is selected in the Estimate Charges Summary Element)
Selected add-ons are added to the line items (without event) when the proposal is approved. The add-ons can then be added to desired events.
This eliminates back-and-forth emails and reduces manual updates.
What Happens After Approval?
Any add-ons selected by the client are:
Captured in the approved proposal
Reflected in the booking details
Your team can proceed confidently knowing the final scope and pricing are confirmed.
