What is a Document Due Date?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Document Due Date is a deadline field attached to a document within a booking. It helps track time-sensitive documents and ensures that clients, sales teams, or event coordinators meet submission or approval timelines.

Purpose

  • For internal tracking: Lets your team know when follow-up or completion is required.

  • For client management: Ensures clients respond to or sign documents on time.

Where It Appears

  • Within the document details screen (e.g., under “Banquet Event Order,” “Proposal,” or “Contract”).

  • Displayed in the Document Details section, near fields like Status, Language, Linked Events, and Document Type.

Common Uses

  • Setting a due date for a proposal to expire if not accepted.

  • Tracking when a contract must be signed before confirming a booking.

  • Ensuring a BEO is finalized before the event date.

Important Notes

  • The field may be optional depending on your template or document type.

  • Updating the due date does not automatically notify clients unless you send or share the document.

  • Important! Clients can still sign Documents when they are past their Due Date
